Leaky Gut and the Immune System
One can undoubtedly say that autoimmune disorders are caused because of a leaky gut. The larger spaces between the cells allow large protein molecules or microbes and fungi to get into the blood stream. The immune system identifies them as foreign bodies and began to make antibodies to attack the foreign substances naturally.
If disorder is caused due to food particles then food allergies and food sensitivities will occur. The antibody that is created by the body to fight the foreign bodies now gets into various tissues in the body. This provokes inflammatory reaction when the food, chemical or microbes enter the blood stream. The protective coating of the intestinal lining collects most of the IgA immunoglobulin. This is an antibodies produced by the body mainly to fight against toxins, bacteria and foreign blood cells found on the surface of the immune cells in the body.
The gut immune system fights off viruses, bacteria, fungi and molds. When the lining gets damaged by much natural occurring chemical reactions in the body and the external medications, Candida, bacteria and chemicals, the immune cells also gets impaired. An impaired immune cell will no longer help maintain a healthy body by producing proper antibody to fight the antibodies. This results in the individual getting sick more often and will take a longer time for recovery. There are lots of methods by which the leaky gut can be repaired. However one has relay on leaky gut diet and has to take care that the immune system is not affected completely as one will not be able to fight diseases with impaired immune system.
