Insanity: The Ultimate Cardio Workout and Fitness DVD Program
Filed under: Product Reviews on August 13th, 2010

It was sent fast, good condition. I have had only one of the DVDs that jumped into one of the videos. I did not get the seller as I was not worried about it as not his fault. Otherwise very happy with the product and service.
I actually bought Insanity about 3 months ago, but I’m just now getting to leave a review. A little about me. 36 years old, 6’2 “£ 215 Lifetime exercise and I was very fit before I had knee surgery in 2003. Followed with married and follow up with the kids. Needless to say I began to put on weight after knee surgery ‘in 1903 because I was no longer playing ball and not be so active. In January of 2009 I topped out at 240 pounds, and just became completely sick of myself. I started eating better and started back running and lifting weights and got me back in shape (down to £ 210). In January 2010 I was tired of lifting and running routine and needed something new. I had eased back up to £ 222, but was still pretty fit. I saw Insanity infomercials and was very intrigued. It reminded me of hardcore plyometric exercises from high school athletes that made me want to vomit, but also got me into shape really fast. I picked up Lunar and here is what I think:
1) You must be in the form of To start this program! period. A couch potato could not properly complete this application. It is very physically demanding, and will push you to the utmost. After the first two days I could not even bend over to tie my shoes. Bena my felt as Eddie Murphy and Charlie had beaten them up because I ground my muddy boots into Eddie’s couch. You will be quite sore! month an interval training literally made my heart hurt the first time I did it. My heart was sore after training a muscle will be. I do not have a screen, but it must have been near the maximum on BPM for the most part of the training. I was completely eradicated in the early training sessions and I came in pretty good shape. Your body does adjust eventually to the intensity, but the workouts NEVER be easy. You suck wind and fell on day one, and suck up air and fell on the day 60 år.
2) You must know your body! One of my knees have been cut, and the second could probably use some cleanup. Years of basketball has taken a toll on them. But guess what? I finished the program and have begun the second round of insanity. During the recovery week hurt myself lumbar make a supplementary weight training workout. It stopped me Insanity training for about 3 weeks. In fact, I had to finally take a week off to heal. But when I came back, everything was good! If you know your body, and guess I have no major obstacles, you can do this workout. I know it goes on kind of slowly after warming is over and let my body has about 3 minutes to get acclimated to the intense movement. I know that if my knees have a bad day dont swim all the way down to squat or try for maximum air on jumps . Its so easy. Circumvent limitations body ha.
3) You will be addicted if you take it seriously. Results are as fast with Madness that you become dependent on it. With the “results” I dont necessarily mean that the dramatic weight loss is Guaranteed. I just “lost” seven pounds during the program. I mean your body changes QUICK! Your endurance and strength gains are very noticeable just two weeks in. In a month I felt 10 years younger and indestructable. And even if I only lost 7 pounds I look very different. People constantly tell me how much younger and thinner I look. The weight you lose in Insanity is that “good” weight. Pure fat. My body has gotten so much more tapered because I know that the fat is broken and muscle has been gained. So even though workouts may be miserable, and often lets me balled over on the floor of the sweat pour off me and snot hanging from my nose, can I get enough of them. Every time I make a I feel a little better. sterkere.
And bit let me say I’m not even very strict with my diet. I eat a lot of sense, but I in no way follow the diet plan. The fact that I can be so satisfied with the results of a workout plan, but has not really changed my lifestyle is phenomenal. I eat what I ate before. I actually spend less time working out than I did before. A trip to the gym use to be about 2hours and occurred 4-5 days week for me. Insanity is an hour and are 5-6 days a week for me. The Madness of training is so effective that you do not need to be in the gym two hours. In fact, the 59-minute interval and 55 minutes Plyo workouts in two months is pretty much the limit of “normal” non-gold winners capabilities for a man in my opinion. Anything longer and a heart attack would be almost sikker.
Some people have complained about the length of the heating and stretching sessions in the sessions, but I believe they are essential . To me there is no way my knees and back can take the beating without proper priming. I think Madness is a lifetime kind of fitness program, and not something faddish. If you are or were an athlete you have to appreciate the purity and simplicity of movements in this program. You can tailor your workout routine to fit around the weight lifting, running or athletic events. I have taken the upper body weight training two days a week recently because I will admit the program focuses mainly on legs, chest and shoulders. Pull ups, curl , dips and other upper body weight training is good supplements. I LOVE this program and will continue in some form or fashion as long as my body do!
My fiance and I are 3 weeks and have already seen significant gains in the form of test scores. I lost about an inch off of my life, but my fiance’s progress has been a bit slower as of this review after doing the same workout every night and eat mostly the same diet. I think that she will catch up at the end of the program selv.
The workouts themselves are intense and will challenge you to the breaking point and then some … but you get strong and I mean crazy strong, very fast … especially in the core. That being said, I find elements of the workouts to be a little repetitive at times, particularly stretching and warm-routines that are very similar to each DVD for the first 4 weeks of the program. I would have had little variation in these from the training exercise to stretch my muscles in some different måter.
The other things wrong me a bit is that while Shaun T is challenging me to “dig deeper” and “push” in DVDs He often stops to perform the exercises when it will be particularly intense to go “critical” one of the other performer form. I realize that talking while you do a workout is intense, but when I am struggling and feel my thighs on fire, it irritates me when he stops working out and starts to walk around the room … It typically results in my yelling some unkind words to me on-screen coach during my training. This can only be myself:)
Overall, this program has been great for us, and I look forward to moving to P90x when we’re done with this building on the base we’re doing here.
I think the madness training is amazing. I have not been able to train with the intensity of this page varsity sports in high school. It’s a great exercise that I can do and do it again over the years to come. the best features of this training is that it takes less than an hour, and that you need is your body and a little space to do so.
