  1. The Mount Pleasant Hotel Brazelton has deep historic ties to the community. The first hotel west of the Mississippi was in Mount Pleasant , and was called the Brazelton. That hotel was built in 1856. Though the old Brazelton is no longer a hotel its great service is continued today by the new Hotel Brazelton.
