Let's Start

Hey there,
10K a Day is a blog I started to hold myself accountable. Over the next few months I'd like to loose about 40 lb and improve my over all fitness and health. I'll go into a little more detail tomorrow.
For now, my goal will be to walk 10,000 steps a day. I'll track my steps with this pedometer.

It's a Sportline 345 Electronic Pedometer that tracks the amount of steps I've taken as well as the distance walked and the calories burned. Of course there are many other models out there that will work as well.

I would love for you to join me. I'll be reporting my progress ( steps walked each day) in this blog. If you'd like to participate, just enter your steps as a comment below.
Please consulte a doctor before you start any exercise program.

Other than that I plan on drinking plenty of water and eating a sensible diet including lots of fruits and veggies.

This will be fun. Let's get walking!

Awesome! I'm excited for you and am behind you all the way. I'll pop over here to check on your progress and encourage you/congratulate you and you are invited to do the same :) I find it easier to stay on track when I have buddies helping me along the way. GO GIRL!

Looks like the rss feed for my yahoo fixed itself. You should be able to add it now.
